Even though I'm on vacation, I wanted you to know about the new Publisher Interface. YouTube Video: Check out the video here: Why Isnt It Working? First of all, know that Publisher doesn't seem to be working on Chrome. At least, it wasn't working on my Chrome. Publisher was there, but none of these features showed up. See image below. Also the main image wouldn't load. But have no fear! Just go to a different browser. It worked for me in Firefox and Safari (although another client had issues with Firefox.) What Publisher Looks Like When It Does Work! When you go to your homepage and click on "Write an article," LinkedIn will take you to the new LinkedIn Publisher. Add your main visual right up top. (Im not sure, but I think the 700 x 400... Read More

Sunday September 11, 2016 comments Tags: Social Media, Social Listening, B2B

Guest Post: Brandwatch It is easy to see the use-case for social listening when looking at large consumer brands They have hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of buyers and millions more of potential ones. They have high volumes of online conversation about them, a dedicated social media team to keep an eye on it, and lots of data to find insights. Guest Post: Brandwatch Social listening, social analytics and social intelligence. Its all the same, right? Well not quite. We were asked this very question on Twitter, so we thought it worth writing an explanation for all to read. Firstly, no, technically, the terms dont mean the same thing. However, they are often used interchangeably to discuss activities related to social media monitoring (thats what we do!) Even more confusingly, whilst they are often used to mean the same thing, they are also used differently by different people and companies within the industry. Heres an explanation of the differences, and how each term is frequently used. Social Listening Lets start with social listening. Social listening or more accurately social media... Read More

Creating a Profile that Attracts Better Prospects

Its important to remember that your LinkedIn profile is one of the most important pieces of your online business presence and branding - so you need to make sure that your profile's branding is aligned with your website, social media and other digital platforms. Visuals Professional Headline You have a great opportunity to create a branded image on your personal profile and on your Company page with LinkedIn'sbackground image. The Personal Profile background image is 1400 x 425 pixels and your Company Page Background image is 660 x 220. Unfortunately, you can't use the same image for both - although they can (and should) resemble each other. The Profile's image is more of an inverse U shape andthe Company page is a rectangle. You go to the office or to work and consider yourself to be a business person. Whatever your current occupation is gives you an additional company title. What tends to be forgotten about is that you are a human being. You have a life outside of the office and work. Yet you choose to live a majority of your productive hours each week working. When working, your goal is to do a good job even more than just a good job. Always, to be successful at what you do. Yet because you are human, youre also to some degree or another a creature of habit. All of us are. For example, you get up in the morning at a certain time every work day and do the same things to prepare to go off to work. You arrive at work and behave in similar ways each business day. In the process of these daily... Read More
