Do you wake up in the morning with an inbox full of emails from LinkedIn about people endorsing you? Then do you delete it? But when you sign into LinkedIn there are more Endorsements waiting? And then you delete those and go to a members profile and there are those danged Endorsements again? LinkedIn Endorsements are a great idea badly executed. Nonetheless- they are like brussle sprouts or time at the gym, a necessary evil! When LinkedIn brought in Skills to replace Specialties (in the summary section,) I was a little skeptical. You can say you're skilled in just about anything you want. Where's the verification? Whos to say if we are or are not skilled in a particular area? And thats where Endorsements come in. LinkedIn Skills get more Klout (with new Endorsements)

Skill endorsements are now available! Have you been to LinkedIn Skills  lately?  It might look familiar (kinda like Klout).  You can now endorse a 1st level connection's skill on their profile.  Here's how you do it... To endorse someone's skill Scroll down to the  Skills Expertise  section of a connection's profile. Click the name of the skill, or the  +  symbol next to the skill. Your name and picture will appear next to the skill on t hat person's profile , and an update regarding the endorsement will appear in both of your network update streams.
