LINKEDIN PULSE HACK : QUICKLY GET TO YOUR PULSE CHANNELS AND PULSE DISCOVER PAGES New User Interface: I wanted to show you a quick hack for LinkedIn's new Pulse User interface. You might have noticed that now when you go to Interests and Pulse, that the page that opens is the latest Pulse story NOT the discover page. Now the Discover page is actually to the left of the Pulse link. If you click the three bars the icon will expand into a snapshot of the old Pulse channels But you STILL have to come click on Discover more to find your actual channels, follow people, etc. Are you a visual Learner? In any given week I get about 10 email requests from people who want to show me their new app. Sometimes I respond, sometimes they go to spam. Can I just say that I am ever so glad that I responded to John Hingley ( @therealhingley ) of Dasheroo ( @GetDasheroo ) Dasheroo is a social dashboard, that pulls your Insights (metrics / analytics) from a variety of different social and digital platforms. I was particularly interested because I am always getting requests from people on where to find the best LinkedIn insights. Title Fields Placing keywords in your current and past title fields will also help you get found on LinkedIn. You have 100 characters. Your official title will always go first, but briefly describing what your company does can greatly increase traffic to your profile. LinkedIn Pet Peeve Number One Automatically Adding me to Your Email List. Ill connect with you on LinkedIn if I think weve be of benefit to each other. Ill sign up for your email list if I think you have content Ill be interested in. I did not connect with you on LinkedIn just so you can add me to your mailing list without my opt in! Ive been on LinkedIn for over 8 years and been invited to connect by thousands of people (27, 964 in fact) and at least 20% of those people have just popped me into their newsletter list. 99% of those have been unsubscribed to by me. Get Ranked! How Do You Stack Up in LinkedIns New Ranking System? Have you noticed LinkedIn's new Ranking feature? On your homepage just underneath Who's Viewed Your Profile, you can see your rank for profile views IF YOU HAVE LINKEDIN PREMIUM!!! When you click on the Rank link, it will show you how you compare with your connections and in the company(s) you currently work with. It will show you what your percentage is (top 1%, top 5%, top 50%) and as far as your connections go, it will also show you how you rank amongst your connections on LinkedIn.
