LinkedIn InMail Attached Documents - This Could Be a Game Changer
I just noticed when responding to an InMail today, that I could attach a document to my message. This might not seem like a big deal, but I really think it's a game changer on LinkedIn.
Right now its's only available for InMails (and as far as I can tell, only available when you reply to an InMail) so if you've been considering upgrading your account, now might be the time!
I checked messages - alas - its not available for a simple message.
Just off the top of my head, here are some ways you can use it:
- A PDF of your brochure
- A PowerPoint presentation of your company product or service
- A white paper
- The chapter of your book
- A questionnaire
- The PDF of your artist portfolio
The options are endless.
Such a small link. Such a great payback :-)
If you already have a paid account, make sure you turn on the OpenLink option so people can send you InMails - and direct them to do so in your Summary section.
"Please feel free to send me a free InMail by clicking on the InMail link above"
You can see how I do it at www.LinkedIn.com/in/LinkedInExpert
For this and more - make sure you keep following my blog.
I'll try and keep you updated on the latest!
And don't forget to join our #LinkedInChat on Tuesday nights on Twitter, our Linked Experts group on Google+, or our LinkChat group on LinkedIn! All three have great participants who I am sure would be willing to answer any questions you might have about LinkedIn (I moderate them all - but we have some other great people too!.)
