Did you know LinkedIn had a help forum?
I was chatting with my new LinkedIn friend Huub Ritzema about LinkedIn's help feature, and he reminded me about their "new" Help forum. Just in case you haven't checked it out yet, it's worth the gander.
If you click on "Help Center" at the very very bottom of your profile on the left-hand side, it will take you to LinkedIn's Help Center. (The Help Center is also featured in the new UI). Once you're in the Help Center you can click on Help Forum. From this help forum, you can search questions that have already been asked and answered, or even start your own discussion.
So this is nothing like LinkedIn Answers where you could ask questions about anything business related. But at least you can ask questions to the forum about things you don't understand on LinkedIn. This is a public forum as LinkedIn warns you, so don't write anything that you wouldn't want the world to see.
The other thing you can do from the Help Forum page is click on the "Contact Us" link and actually ask LinkedIn your questions. Just be aware you must do a search or go into the forum first before LinkedIn will activate the Contact Us link.
Even though I have my issues with LinkedIn, I will say that it is nice that they have a few areas where you can go get answers about the platform itself. And I really like that they have email support.
Finally there is a support history where you can see are the questions you've asked in the past and LinkedIn's responses.
LinkedIn also had live chat support for a while, but for the life of me I can't figure out where it is now. It just seems to pop up sometimes when I go to the help section. Anyone else ever had LinkedIn chat show up for them?
Of course you can always visit this blog for the latest and greatest on LinkedIn.
Also, always feel free to join the LinkedIn chat on Twitter on Tuesday nights at 8 PM EST to ask other LinkedIn experts your questions.
